Storia

2018    The group decided to invest in a new solid online platform, with the objective of reaching new markets after the recent digitization of the used machinery industry.

2014    The Sassi Macchine Utensili group opens a new company, the BMU Bologna macchine utensili, based inToscanella (BO), increasing its company structure and sales volume.

1999    The third generation arrives in the company, the young Stefano Sassi brings innovation, progress and a constant search for a more innovative trading process.

1996    Creation of a new headquarters in Castel Guelfo (Bologna) where is still located today. 

1995    Opening of a third branch located in Toscanella (Bologna).

1990    The company thinks big and open new sales frontiers overseas. The spread of CNC machines has also led the company to invest in trained and capable technicians and more and more sophisticated machines.  

1985    The business keeps growing and a second branch was opened in San Lazzaro (Bologna).

1981    The second son, Maurizio Sassi, joins the company, bringing new energy and a different vision. A year later the Fratelli Sassi SDF was formed.

1975    With the arrival of the second generation, his son Angelo Sassi, the company begin to expand in the Italian market, growing in volumes and profits.

1968    The founder Agostino Sassi created the Sassi Agostino companyto begin to trade used machine tools becoming the pioneer and benchmark in this industry in Emilia-Romagna.
